Guess who lost 2.5kgs (5.5ibs) in 1 week?? ME!!!! *happy dance*
It was such a nice feeling stepping onto my scales this morning to see 102.3kg flashing back at me. I thought I’d lose around 1kg, so seeing a 2.5kg loss has really motivated me for this week.
In February last year I joined weight watchers (or ww as it’s now known). I followed their points system for around 6 months. I lost 4kgs in the first 6 weeks which was great, but the losses kinda stopped there.
It wasn’t that weight watchers didn’t work for me, it was that life got in the way.
We moved States in April from Brisbane back to Perth. I wasn’t in the right frame of mind, stopped tracking my points, my weight loss stalled and I eventually cancelled my membership.
Like I mentioned in my about me page, I’ve tried over 15 different diets. This time round I’m not doing any crazy diet or restricting any food groups.
Weight Watchers was good, but I don’t want to have to continually pay over $30 a month for an app to track my points. The Weight Watchers points system is similar to calorie counting and that’s the route I’m going down. Calorie Counting. The good o’l fashion way.
If anyone is interested about how I worked out my daily calorie allowance, please let me know and I’ll do a blog post about it.
Seeing the 2.5kg loss this week has given me the reassurance I needed that I’m on the right path with my calorie allowance. I’m so excited and motivated to get this week started and see what my weight loss will be next week.
