Yesterday I had a little visiter. Her name is Aunt flow. My weight always seems to fluctuate during this time of the month so I didn’t think I’d lose much weight but, I was pleasantly surprised.
I stood on the scales and they read 101.5kgs which means I had a loss of 800g (1.76ibs).
Last week went really smoothly. I didn’t have any cravings and I stuck to my calorie allowance. Actually, I think a couple of days I went slightly over my calories but that didn’t seem to affect my weight loss.
Every morning for the past couple of weeks I’ve been writing down 3 things that I’m grateful for. This morning one of those things was getting my periods.
For most of my adult life my periods have been very irregular. When I was at my heaviest weight of 116kgs, they were non existent for at least 1 – 2 years.
Since I’ve lost some weight my periods are generally pretty regular. I track them on my iPhone using one of those fancy apps and I tend to get them every 38-40 days. There is definitely some improvement needed but whenever they do arrive, I’m so grateful for them.
It gives me a little reassurance that my body is slowing getting healthy again and that hopefully I’ll be able to fall pregnant naturally when the time is right.
So just as a little re-cap, I’ve lost a total of 3.3kgs (7.2ibs) in 2 weeks, “yay”.
